Updated September 2026. This article has been rewritten to reflect the platform as it is today: the original 2021 version described a product that was still a prototype.
Between the moment someone hits REC and the moment a guest receives their video, there are usually hours of manual work: pulling the cards, finding the right clips, editing, exporting, uploading, delivering. That bottleneck is why a rafting centre or a resort can only sell content to the guests who insist on it, instead of to everyone.
SHARED.MEDIA removes that work. Here is what happens, step by step.
Capture: with the cameras you already have
No proprietary hardware is required, and there is nothing to buy from us. The platform works with what you already use: action cams on helmets or rafts, the photographer’s DSLR, fixed cameras on a trail or at the track, smartphones. If the footage exists, SHARED.MEDIA processes it.
Where available, the data that comes with the footage is collected too — GPS position, speed, acceleration, timestamps. It is not essential: it makes the final content richer, it is not what makes it work.
Processing: the part that used to cost hours
Raw material is uploaded and the platform does the rest with no human intervention: it selects the highlights, edits them, and applies music, transitions, the property’s logo and watermark. Where needed, it reads QR codes and recognises race bibs via OCR, so every piece of content reaches the right person.
Delivery: guests find their own content
Once processing is done, the content is immediately available. How it reaches people depends on how you work:
- QR code — printed on a sticker or wristband, or displayed at reception: scan it and the personal gallery opens on the phone.
- Direct link — sent automatically by email or message, with nobody having to do anything.
- Branded online catalogue — where people search for their own content by date, time and place.
- Search by code or race bib — for races and events with many participants.
Galleries are private, reached through unique links; data handling is GDPR compliant and the files always remain the client’s property.
Sales: e-commerce under your own brand
In the same gallery, guests can buy photos and videos — under your brand, not ours. This is where content stops being a cost and becomes revenue: someone who has just lived the experience is at peak willingness to buy, and finds the content already waiting instead of having to ask for it.
